Effective Strategic Planning is crucial to successful organisations. It provides forward direction, sets priorities and identifies obstacles and opportunities that may limit or enable you to carry out your business objectives.

By the end of this course you will:

  • Understand definitions relating to the Strategic Planning Process.

  • Be aware of the key requirements at the preparation stage.

  • Have an understanding of what is meant by the Strategic Planning Process.

  • Be able to recognise how to carry out a situational analysis.

  • Know how to develop a mission and vision statement.

  • Understand the key requirements in developing goals and objectives.

  • Recognise the required components for a strategic plan.

This course is underpinned by practical exercises where participants will get an opportunity to use strategic planning tools and understand different techniques.

This course will start at 9.30 am and finish around 4.30 pm. Breaks will be provided in the morning, for lunch and in the afternoon.
